Jazz Fest.
After spending a few days with my parents, we met my best friend and her husband on the City of New Orleans, the train that runs from Chicago to New Orleans. We took them to Jazz Fest for their wedding gift!
New Orleans is fantastic and I can’t wait to go back. The culture, food, live music, and people are all top notch. We tried so many different things while there - alligator sausage, boiled crawfish, crawfish monica and soft-shell crab po’ boys - just to name a few.
The music was amazing. We saw Cowboy Mouth, Bonarama, My Morning Jacket, Simon and Garfunkel all in one day. The forecast called for rain and it actually stormed all day Friday, the day before we attended, but we lucked out and actually had sun!
